Why Juice?

The U.S. Surgeon General, the U.S. Department of Health, National Cancer Institute, and many other experts have long agreed that fresh fruits and vegetables are the key to good nutrition. We believe that drinking fresh juice is the most fun and efficient way to increase your consumption of these life-giving foods since it provides the nutritional advantage of a plant-based diet in a concentrated form that is easily absorbed by the body.

Who should juice?

In our minds, adults can benefit from a juicing program as a regular part of their lifestyle regimen. Whether you are a stressed-out workaholic or a stay-at-home mom, the truth is that life is no longer as simple as it once was. We are all busy and struggle to find time for ourselves and often our health suffers as a result.

How many calories are in your juices?

Although we don't believe in calorie counting, we know it's a constant concern for many individuals. Please don't think of our program simply for weight loss; we want to embrace juicing as a lifestyle. That including our juice kits, whether freshly-pressed or freshly-blended, give you increased water intake, soulful energy and optimal nourishment. That being said, most of our juice kits range from 100-350 calories per recipe.

What can I expect?

When juicing forms the core of a healthy diet, these benefits will be yours:

  • Increased energy
  • Strengthened immunity against illness
  • Reduced risk of disease
  • Stronger bones
  • Glowing skin complexion
  • Lower blood pressure
What is fresh juice better than canned juice or bottled juice?

Fresh juice and smoothies not only contain greater nutritional value than its canned or bottled counterparts, but it also contains active enzymes and other "living" ingredients. By contrast, canned and bottled juices have been pasteurized. Pasteurization keeps these products on the shelf longer, but at the cost of losing vitamins, minerals and living enzymes.

Which juices are best for achieving weight loss?

The most effective juices are those that are dense in nutrients but low in calories. Here, in descending order, are the most nutrient-dense fruits and vegetables:
Bell Peppers
Parsley
Kale
Broccoli
Spinach
Celery
Brussel Sprouts
Cauliflower
Carrots
Cabbage
Beets
Pineapple
Cantaloupe
Watermelon
Tomatoes
Apples
Strawberries
Pears
Oranges
Grapes

Is this a cleanse? And isn't it true that our bodies are capable of cleansing naturally?

It is definitely true that our bodies cleanse naturally and constantly. This is not a "cleanse" as the term has become known today. We do, however, believe in saying, "You are what you eat." Ever consider why a bowl full of pasta makes you sleepy, but a salad perks you up? When garbage foods go into our bodies, we can expect high performance in return. That's not to say we don't indulge in pasta on occasion, but only as part of a balanced, plant-filled diet. That said, we like to think of our juice kits as a daily vitamin - a way to bring balance back into our hectic lives. We do offer different juice cleanses and cleanse kits.

What if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

Our programs are designed for all healthy people; however, there are certain individuals who should not partake. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should not restrict your diet to liquids, as you need extra calories and nutrients in your diet. Consult your health care professional and ask if our drinks are right for you.

Am I going to lose weight by juicing?

The answer to this is variable. As part of a healthy lifestyle, you can expect juicing to help rebalance your body, improve your skin, life, and mood, alleviate some common allergy problems, and yes - even lose weight!

Are the juices definitely fresh upon delivery?

Your juice kits will be delivered straight to your doorstep in a recyclable container cooler with ice packs. Just take them out of the cooler and put them straight into your fridge. Then you can decide whether you want to blend them up smoothie style, or press out all that juicy goodness and pulp.
